Mazda Motor Corporation’s production and sales results for April 2010 are summarized below.

I. Production

1. Domestic Production
Mazda’s total domestic production volume in April 2010 increased year-on-year for the fifth consecutive month, growing 49.3% compared to April 2009, due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

CX-7:	5,953 units	(up 1088.2% year-on-year)
CX-9:	4,010 units	(up 125.0% year-on-year)

2. Overseas Production
Posting a year-on-year increase for the eleventh consecutive month, Mazda’s overseas production volume in April 2010 improved 57.2% on April 2009, reflecting healthy production of passenger and commercial vehicles.

Mazda’s total domestic sales volume in April 2010 increased year-on-year for the seventh consecutive month, growing 34.7% compared to April 2009, due to healthy sales of passenger vehicles.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 4.9% (up 0.2 points year-on-year), with a 2.9% share of the micro-mini segment (up 0.3 points year-on-year) and a 4.1% total market share (up 0.3 points year-on-year).

Mazda’s export volume in April 2010 increased year-on-year for the fifth consecutive month, growing 37.1% compared to April 2009 due to increased shipments to North America and other regions (the Middle East, Asia and Central & South America).
